Raphaela leads the Migration portfolio and the work on International Cooperation at the Robert Bosch Stiftung. She develops strategies and drives initiatives on humane migration governance, local integration, climate mobility, digital technologies, and resilient international collaboration. Her expertise spans migration and integration policy in Germany, Europe, and worldwide, as well as questions of global governance and transnational cooperation.
Since 2015, she has held various roles at the foundation, developing numerous projects and publications, and shaping political and public debates on migration, integration, and global cooperation. From 2021 to 2025, she served as Chair of the European Philanthropic Initiative on Migration (EPIM) and was named a Yale World Fellow in 2023. Raphaela holds a doctorate in political science and studied political science, law, and peace and conflict studies in Munich, Madrid, Frankfurt, and Darmstadt.
