Political liaison work
As part of our political liaison work, we want to offer impetus for ideas in the political arena. To this end, we bring the findings and results of the Foundation's funding work and its partners to the political arena. Our aim is to strengthen the impact of our work in terms of sustainable social change.
Our aim is to formulate recommendations for political action that can be enshrined in law and to actively participate in the discourse on important socio-political issues. In this way, we not only support our partners, but also a strong, democratic society.
We support political processes that are relevant to the Foundation and try to put socio-political issues on the political agenda. To this end, we organize a wide range of dialogue formats, from parliamentary breakfasts in the Bundestag to parliamentary evenings, background discussions and conferences at our Berlin office. We pay attention to political debates, draft statements and policy briefs and are also happy to present these in personal discussions.
In 2025, we are focusing on the topics of citizen participation (democracy) and legal pathways for migrants (migration).
The Robert Bosch Stiftung positions itself on socio-political issues when they are directly related to our topical (impact) goals, when they touch upon the Foundation's core values, or when we, as a large German foundation, see it as our responsibility to support our partners and grantees.
At the same time, we maintain a close exchange with other foundations, organizations and associations such as the Association of German Foundations or the European umbrella organization Philea.
Colleagues from our funding areas work together with the political liaison team on political communication. Representatives from our political liaison work have several years of work experience in the Bundestag, in political consulting and in political journalism.
