Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the regions most impacted by climate change worldwide. Natural disasters trigger high numbers of new displacements every year. Sustainable measures are often highly localized, limiting their visibility and our understanding of how to adapt and replicate successful projects to other contexts and regions. The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) aims at enabling more effective protection, planning and action for people displaced by climate change and specifically slow-onset disasters in Somalia and Kenya and worldwide. It will develop an analytical framework with key stakeholders in the target countries, that will allow the analysis and replication of promising local and country practices.
