As the importance of institutional education grows, so do society’s expectations of the educational system’s efficiency. Knowledge acquisition and knowledge transfer are the key concepts of traditional curriculum planning in schools and are also regarded as the core task of institutional education in daycare.
A crucial challenge for educational institutions is identifying and designing key concepts of knowledge, skills and expertise for future-oriented education as well as defining the essential application contexts which must be the subject of learning and teaching.

Our projects and funding in this support area aim to promote approaches and models for new forms of comprehensive knowledge acquisition and learning concepts that lead to deeper knowledge and understanding. Our focus is on the learning process and the interaction of all stakeholders, so as to strengthen people’s expertise, problem-solving skills and capability to act and to enable them to deal constructively, collaboratively, and communicatively with new challenges and constant change.
