The Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) are organizing the first Berlin Climate Mobility Forum from June 16 to 17, 2025. This closed event will take place following the UN Ocean Conference in Nice and on the margins of the June Climate Meetings (SB62) in Bonn.
The aim of the forum is to accelerate partnerships by enabling collaboration across sectors, regions, and constituencies, building a common agenda, and developing concrete approaches to address climate mobility. It will also provide a global platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience.
To collectively and effectively address the challenges of climate mobility, the forum offers key stakeholders from different levels and sectors the opportunity to connect and contribute their expertise. The forum's whole-of-society approach with a particular focus on youth, women, and city leaders is crucial for addressing the multidimensional challenges of climate mobility, while harnessing opportunities and protecting rights.
The forum seeks to emphasize the urgency of integrating climate mobility into climate adaptation strategies and incorporating innovative, evidence-based, and proven local approaches into global, regional, and national frameworks.
The Berlin Climate Mobility Forum focuses on practical collaboration. Workshops on various regional approaches, informal exchanges, and discussions will address strategies for dealing with sea-level rise, the opportunities of multisectoral partnerships, as well as financing options for solutions.
