As our team leader, Andrea is responsible for the ‘Good daycare centres and schools’ field of action in the education funding area. Her team focuses on the quality development of daycare centres and schools, with the aim of taking all levels of the education system into account. In particular, the focus is on future-oriented and sustainable learning, democracy education and the mental health of children and young people. After studying social sciences and education at the University of Stuttgart, she was responsible for educational projects at the Baden-Württemberg Foundation and the Protestant Church in Stuttgart. Prior to her time as team leader at the foundation, she was responsible for projects in the field of early childhood education and the German School Award as project manager.
"Germany's daycare centres and schools hold the key to equal opportunities and the development of potential for all children and teenagers - and therefore to shaping a sustainable society in a rapidly changing world."
