What We Do

Find out more about the charitable activities of the Robert Bosch Stiftung. We pick up on social issues at an early stage in three areas of support – and, with our projects, develop exemplary solutions for the future. Learn more about our topics on this page.

Our areas of support

Making health care fit for the future

Since the Robert Bosch Stiftung was founded back in 1964, health care has been one of its core focuses, with the Robert Bosch Hospital inaugurated by Robert Bosch himself in 1940 at its heart. Today, we are working to strengthen the future viability of our health care system. We are committed to health care that is geared to people and their social needs. Learn more

Daycare and school for the 21st century

In the area of Education support, we are committed to sustainable daycare centers and schools in Germany. With our own projects and through our funding, we test solutions and gather knowledge that benefits the entire education system. We work closely with stakeholders from educational institutions, administration, research and politics to accomplish these goals.

We are strengthening the resilience of Ukrainian civil society and supporting its efforts toward the country’s recovery.

We have had close ties to partners in Ukraine for more than 30 years. Since Russia's full-scale invasion, we have intensified our engagement and focus on supporting civil society actors in Ukraine who are making a decisive contribution to cohesion in the country.

How we work

We promote the development of innovative policy solutions and facilitate the open exchange of decision-makers and opinion leaders with international experts from various disciplines through the Robert Bosch Academy and the International Alumni Centre Berlin. We also continuously develop our approaches, methods and tools.

The Foundation contributes to evidence-based policy-making by communicating the results of its grant-making to policy-makers. One of the ways it does this is by networking with international experts through study tours and workshops.
