Digital threats including hate speech, disinformation, and conspiracy theories threaten our democracy and social cohesion. Up to now, there have hardly been any offerings directed at the adult population to help people acquire skills to recognize these digital threats and to protect themselves and others from them. Together with companies, unions, and associations, the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the non-profit Hertie Stiftung, and the Institute for Strategic Dialogue are partnering to close this gap. The Business Council for Democracy (#BC4D) developed and tested a digital literacy curriculum in a one-year pilot phase that is now used in companies throughout Germany and reaches people at their workplace.
