Developing and Mobilizing Platforms for Democracy

International IDEA bridges the gap between research, policy making, and democracy assistance as well as informs and mobilizes the democracy community by advancing two critical areas of work:

1. A platform “Global State of Democracy”  has been developed, which, in addition to comprehensive reports, also provides the “Democracy Tracker.” This free democracy monitoring tool offers monthly updates with data, analyses, an early warning system, and policy recommendations.

2. Leading a collaborative working coalition (the Global Coalition for Democracy) with diverse civil society organizations and influential partners to produce a virtual Global Forum for Democracy and follow-up activities that give voice to new issues and contribute to shaping the Summit for Democracy.
