Calls for Proposals: A Transparent Path to Funding

We publish topic-specific calls for proposals to clearly indicate the areas where we are currently seeking new partnerships or projects—and where there is a realistic chance of funding. This approach offers several benefits for your organization:

Planning Ahead: Our calls show exactly which areas we are focusing on and which priorities matter most to us.
Better Chances of Success: You can invest your valuable resources in applications with realistic funding prospects.
Equal Opportunity: All organizations receive the same information and application options.
Strong Preparation: Detailed documents help you develop project concepts that fit our priorities.

From the applications we receive, we select the most suitable project partners. These organizations are then invited to submit a full proposal—and we are happy to support you during this process if needed. The proposal summarizes objectives, target groups, and intended impact and forms the basis for funding approval. Once approved, we formalize the collaboration in a funding agreement, including grant amount, timeline, and financial plan.
As a partner organization, we aim to support you throughout every stage of the funding process.

Effectiveness and sustainability are at the heart of our funding approach. Our close collaboration is built on trust and shared responsibility. Across our funding areas, we use a wide range of instruments: depending on the goal, we may lead initiatives ourselves, work bilaterally through partnerships and project funding, or join strong alliances.
