Ecologic Institute has produced a background and analysis paper to provide a common basis of information on the climate and agricultural policy plans of the ten EU member states Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Hungary and Romania. The report shows the climate protection potential in the agricultural and food systems of the respective countries and presents alternative options for action in agriculture, taking socio-economic goals into account. In a further project phase, actors from various sectors developed proposals for strategies and measures in thematic workshops that can support the transformation of the agricultural sector in the respective countries.
