Philanthropy Coalition for Climate

Facing the severe consequences of climate change and the short time remaining to act, the Philanthropy Europe Association, Philea, has initiated the "Philanthropy Coalition for Climate". The coalition introduces climate action as a cross-cutting issue for all foundations across Europe, regardless of their core mission. It aims at encouraging and empowering philanthropy to apply the climate lens to everything they are doing. To achieve this, the Coalition sets up peer groups of foundations for collective learning and acting, engages with EU institutions and other multilateral organisations on the role of climate philanthropy and facilitates collaboration with public and private partners. Philea is a network gathering donors and foundations associations in Europe with the aim of providing a platform to share knowledge and learn from best practices.
