Markus leads our Ukraine special section. After studying history and political science in Mainz and Riga (Latvia) and working for ZDF, he taught at several universities in Latvia and worked at the "Jews in Latvia" museum in Riga. Since 2002, he has been working for the Robert Bosch Stiftung, where he has been responsible for projects in Central and Eastern Europe for almost 20 years and for the establishment of the International Alumni Center in Berlin. His work focuses on civil society in Ukraine.
