Adis Hukanović

Adis Hukanović is a psychologist by profession. Having been born and raised in Sanski Most, he is familiar with the region. Adis has become an activist for dealing with the past initiatives and peacebuilding approaches within the Balkans. In our approach, he focuses on promoting peace through cooperation and empathy. He is an expert in trauma-sensitive peacebuilding and has a long history of working with international organizations.

Tanja Topić

Tanja Topić is a journalist and political analyst. She heads the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Banja Luka in the Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a tireless advocate for human rights, transparency, democracy, and minorities in a difficult political climate. In our approach, she brings in her expertise on the political developments in the region, especially on the level of the Bosnian entities.

Vedran Džihić

Vedran Džihić is a Senior Researcher with the Austrian Institute for International Affairs (oiip) as well as lecturer at the University of Vienna. He is a co-director of the Center of Advanced Studies Southeastern Europe (CAS-SEE) at the University in Rijeka and one of the founders of the Engaged Democracy Intitative (EDI) of the European Fund for the Balkans and the Institute for Democratic Engagement Southeast Europe (IDESE). In his work he focuses among other subjects on Democracy Theory, Civil Society and Democracy Processes. Having grown up in Prijedor, Bosnia and Herzegovina, he brings in his very individual view on the region as well as is conflict research knowledge.

Mario Mažić

Mario Mažić is an activist, political analyst, entrepreneur and advocate for democracy and reconciliation in the Western Balkans. In his consultancies, he draws upon his experiences as a co-founder of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights Croatia. In our approach, he focuses on organizational development of our partner initiatives and advises on peacebuilding, democracy, and human rights aspects.

Senada Šelo Šabić

Senada Šelo Šabić is a researcher at the Institute of International Economic and Political Relations in Zagreb. Originally from Tuzla, her research interests include Croatian foreign policy, Southeastern Europe, EU policy and migration. Senada has coordinated European research projects and worked as a consultant for international development agencies. In our approach, she brings in her political expertise and her individual perspective on the region.
