No Security Without Food Security

As security debates focus increasingly on military threats and defense spending, another fundamental dimension risks being overlooked: food security. Conflict, climate change, economic shocks, and geopolitical tensions are putting food systems worldwide under growing pressure. Persistent food insecurity, in turn, deepens vulnerability, erodes resilience, and contributes to instability.

Drawing on perspectives from across regions, this year's Global Hunger Index explores what "No Security Without Food Security" means in different contexts around the world.

Welthungerhilfe, IFHV, and the Robert Bosch Stiftung invite you to join leading voices from government, academia, and civil society to discuss the report’s findings, their implications for policy and the question: How must national, regional, and international security strategies evolve to safeguard food and nutrition security as foundations for lasting peace and stability?

The event will be held in English, with simultaneous interpretation into French and German. A reception will follow for in-person participants.
