Confidence Barometer (Zuversichtsbarometer) 2026

How confident is organized civil society in Germany about its own future? What strengthens its confidence, what challenges does it face, and how does it assess its ability to help shape society? The Confidence Barometer provides answers to these questions. For the first edition in 2026, the polling institute forsa surveyed 754 representatives of associations, foundations, and nonprofit organizations across Germany on behalf of the Robert Bosch Stiftung. The findings show how respondents view the future of their organizations, what challenges they see, and what gives them confidence. Perspectives from practitioners complement the survey and provide context for the findings. In German language.
