Relationship crisis? Citizens and their democracy in Germany, France, Great Britain, Poland and the USA

The cross-national study by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the organisation More in Common shows considerable scepticism among citizens towards politics and the media - even though a large majority say ‘yes’ to democracy in principle. They lack a connection between their lives and the democratic state. Almost three quarters of respondents (71 per cent) would like to see ‘caring’ politics that actively improves people's lives.
