Senior Expert Inequality
Ellen joined the Inequality team in 2021 as a senior expert. She observes and analyzes developments in research and practice against inequalities and brings these into the strategic development of the foundation's work. Impulses and insights are often generated together with great partners, in discussions with colleagues and in the large network. Ellen studied political science in Berlin and Istanbul and received her PhD from the University of Kassel with a thesis on social security in countries of the global south, using the example of India. She worked for several years for non-governmental organizations in the areas of youth and development, including Oxfam Germany.
"Our chance for a socially and ecologically just future and present is to become active together with others in dreaming, thinking, creating and fighting for it."
