The brochure summarizes the key findings of the evaluation of the program “Allzeitorte. Moving More Together” and includes recommendations for a relaunch. The evaluation showed that the program follows an innovative and bold approach: using everyday and leisure spaces as resonance spaces for democratic education and social cohesion. At the same time, the evaluation makes it clear that ambitious goals—such as sustainable political participation and lasting structures—are challenging, partly due to short project timelines and limited resources. 

The publication Bandung at 70: Multilateralism in a New Era of Multi-Alignment, conceptualized by the Körber Stiftung and funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung, provides valuable impulses for multilateral cooperation in a time of major crises and dysfunctional structures. Among other things, it highlights how historical legacies shape current strategies, particularly of middle powers, and encourages rethinking concepts such as solidarity, sovereignty, and equality in interstate relations. It also examines the value of South-South and triangular cooperation and underlines the indispensability of countries in Africa, Latin America, and Asia for Europe and Germany.

Over a three-year pilot phase, eight border regions between Germany and its neighboring countries explored new approaches to cross-border citizen participation. Together, they worked towards the vision of a Europe without borders. This summary highlights the main barriers identified during the project—categorized as language, culture, space, as well as politics, administration, and law—and illustrates constructive ways to address these challenges.

How can the public be meaningfully involved in key climate policy decisions? The new study provides hands-on recommendations for inclusive policymaking. Given the growing urgency in this legislative period — especially in climate policy — the authors advocate for early and structured public participation in major legislative initiatives. The cross-national study by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the organisation More in Common shows considerable scepticism among citizens towards politics and the media - even though a large majority say ‘yes’ to democracy in principle. They lack a connection between their lives and the democratic state. Almost three quarters of respondents (71 per cent) would like to see ‘caring’ politics that actively improves people's lives. Civil society space is recognised as a cornerstone of a functioning democracy. In the long run, it can help improve the effectiveness and responsiveness of government, promote more citizen-centred policies and strengthen social cohesion. This first comparative OECD report on civic space provides a data base of 33 OECD members and 19 non-members, and a differentiated overview of the different dimensions of civic space.

The case study focuses on democratic innovations in civic tech across Africa. Civic tech is technology created by citizens to have a positive social impact on democratic public services. Not all civic tech innovations are effective, so it’s important to focus on "civic tech that works". The case study addresses specific challenges that Africa faces in civic tech.
