Silke Breimaier

Senior Expert

Silke works at the intersection of foresight and strategy, helping to ensure the Robert Bosch Stiftung remains fit for the future. Her work includes guiding foundation teams through foresight processes, developing methods and practices for identifying emerging trends and opportunities, and translating these insights into strategic action. She also closely monitors developments and debates within the international philanthropy sector. At the heart of her work lies a key question: How can foundations and philanthropy as a whole position themselves to remain impactful and relevant in the years to come? Since joining the Robert Bosch Stiftung in 2017, Silke has held a range of roles across the organization. She began as an advisor to the Executive Board, later worked in the Future Issues and Foundation Development team, and has been part of the Foresight, Impact & Strategy team since August 2024. Before joining the foundation, she worked for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation’s international offices in London and Stockholm and conducted research and taught at the Chair of Comparative Politics at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Silke studied Political Science, Communication Studies and Education in Munich and Linköping, Sweden.
