About the project

The Global Alliance for the Future of Food is a strategic alliance of philanthropic foundations working together and with other committed stakeholders to realize healthy, equitable and resilient food systems. The way food is grown, processed, distributed, consumed, and wasted today, threatens a future of food that is sustainable, equitable, and secure. With undeniable links to climate change, biodiversity loss, migration, the erosion of human rights, livelihoods, and cultural practices, and the rise of zoonotic diseases the case for food systems transformation has never been more urgent. With a focus on systems thinking, the Global Alliance works to forge new insights and strengthen evidence for global systems change. It convenes a diverse range of actors and facilitates meaningful dialogue and, in doing so, helps to stimulate local and global action. We consider the membership as an opportunity to learn from and align efforts with key actors in the field, and support the Alliance’s initiatives for food systems transformation.
